The Messy Play Lady
Robin is the Chief Mess Maker and CEO behind Messy Play Parties! A preschool teacher gone independent, Robin channels over a decade of research, teacher instincts, and real-world mom experience into every party, helping parents and professionals ditch cleanup anxiety and embrace the joy of hands-on play.
She graduated from UC Davis with a double major in Human Development and Psychology, later serving as a head preschool teacher at the UC Davis Early Childhood Laboratory. To support parents even further, she also certified as a postpartum doula, lactation counselor, and infant massage instructor.
As a mom based in the Santa Cruz mountains, Robin knows that real-life parenting is beautifully messy and wants to spread the word.

Danny (They/Them/Elle)
Danny is an emerging queer scholar and multidisciplinary artist. They have been part of the Messy Play Parties team since 2022 as an activity coordinator and slime connoisseur. They hold a Cum Laude Bachelor's in Child and Adolescent Development, with a focus on Early Childhood Education. Currently, they are an interdisciplinary Master's student at San Jose State University, specializing in queer anthropology and child development. Their current projects include serving as the Santa Clara County Representative for the Bay Area Artist Census and creating low-barrier art events that spark joy and hope!
Nicolas is an Anthropology student born and raised in Sonoma County. While he misses his family and the abundant nature, he has fallen in love with the Bay Area. Nicolas's hobbies include overanalyzing books and movies, taking care of his plants, and cooking for his loved ones. He is CPR certified, with experience in working with children in educational settings.

Since 2014, we’ve been making the world a little
more beautifully messy,
one party at a time.
What started in 2014 with a grandmother asking for toddler activity ideas has evolved into a full-blown sensory revolution! When our founder, Robin, hand-packed that very first box, she realized families everywhere needed a way to embrace hands-on learning without the cleanup anxiety. Our Messy Play Parties were born out of that exact mission.
Robin took her decade of sensory expertise and packaged it into an all-inclusive party experience—bringing the pools, the giant sensory bins, and the glorious chaos straight to living rooms, backyards, offices, and parks.
We do the setup, facilitate the fun, and handle the cleanup, because we believe the best way to boost bonding and catalyze creativity is through play!
